Geologists have discovered a lost continent that spanned over 3000 miles.
The continent has been found near the Indian Ocean and Southeast Asia, according to a recent geological research study.
The researchers said they spent seven years putting the puzzles together as it was a challenging task.
The Argoland
The continent named Argoland is approximately 155 million years old.
The research paper elaborated further that the continent once existed like other continents but vanished as time passed.
Most of the continent was hidden under the green jingles of Indonesia and Myanmar and underwent a similar destruction process like other continents.
Argoland Broke From Australia
The lost continent was once part of the Australian continent but broke away from it.
The Australian continent lost it during the late Jurassic period and disappeared with time.
The researchers said the discovery was essential to understand processes like climate and the evolution of biodiversity.
The research was published in the journal Gondwana Research.
