Horrifying scenes were captured when a 13-feet alligator was spotted with human remains in its mouth. The huge alligator was discovered in a canal in northern Florida Botanical Gardens. The residents were shocked to see the alligator dragging the dead body between its jaws and immediately alerted the police.
Alligator Was Killed
On arriving at the scene, the police humanely neutralized the alligator along with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation.
The statement issued by the sheriff’s office mentioned that authorities were quick to respond to an alleged alligator who happened to be dragging a human body.
Victim Identified
After a medical examination of the dead body, the victim was identified as 41-year-old Sabrina Peckham, as per the press release.
The statement also revealed that the family members of the deceased individual have been notified while the investigation is still underway. Medical team “will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death”, the statement said.
