Scientists said they can’t rule out the fact that an alien spaceship could have caused the mysterious spiky protrusions found on Mars. Images captured by NASA’s Curiosity Rover showed formations sticking out from the surface of the rocks in the Gale Crater, with at least six rocks displaying unusual features.
The Most Bizarre Rock
The rock found has been quite mysterious for scientists as they have never seen anything like that on the Red Planet’s surface. Astrobiologist Dr. Nathalie Cabrol described it as the “most bizarre rock” she had encountered during her two decades of researching Mars. With that being said, researchers are not solely relying on one explanation for the mysterious spiky on the planet.
Similar Sand Spikes On Earth
Similar projections can also be found at the north Alpine basin in south Germany and south California. A new research paper argued that the projections might be “sand spikes” observed on Earth in water-logged sands during powerful earthquakes.
