The US government has imposed a ban on importing Ninestar from China over the latter’s human rights record against the Uyghur minority. The Ninestar, who claimed to be the world’s fourth largest laser printer producer will not be able to export its products to the US after its alleged involvement in China’s aggression against Muslims.
More Than 1 Million Detained
According to some estimates, the Chinese government has detained more than a million people inside concentration camps, as per many International Human Rights Organizations. The Muslim minority belonging to the Uyghur population and other ethnic groups in the north-western region of Xinjiang, has been detained and forcefully educated on Chinese ideals. Some estimate the amount to be closer to 3 million as it has become almost impossible to verify the numbers because of strict regulations of the Chinese government.
China Has Rejected The Accusations
Since 2017, the Chinese government has continuously rejected the accusations of human rights violations and minority suppression. China doesn’t even bother to call them “concentration camps” but rather it uses a more diplomatic term, “educational camps”.
