What’s scarier than a movie stunt gone wrong? When it almost spills into the audience.
At Disney World in Florida, a routine Indiana Jones live show suddenly turned into a real-life action scene.
A massive 400-pound rubber boulder broke off its track and bounced toward spectators.
Gasps filled the crowd. “Whoa! That’s heading right for us!” one audience member can be heard saying in a video that quickly spread online.
In a split-second decision, a staff member stepped in — literally.
He tried to block the runaway prop and was knocked to the ground on impact.
Stunt Injury Investigated
Fellow cast members rushed to help him up, blood visible on his scalp, but the crowd was safe.
Disney later confirmed the incident happened during the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular.
“We’re focused on supporting our cast member, who is recovering,” a spokesperson said.
Adding that safety reviews are under way and the scene will be modified.
The rolling boulder, a nod to Raiders of the Lost Ark, is iconic — but this time, it nearly stole the show for all the wrong reasons.
Sometimes, the real heroes aren’t on screen. They’re the ones standing between danger and the audience.
