Millions Join ‘No Kings’ Protests Across US Opposing Trump

Millions join anti-Trump 'No Kings' protests across US.

From New York’s buzzing Times Square to the streets of Los Angeles, millions of Americans poured out on Saturday for the “No Kings” protests.

It was a sweeping rebuke of President Donald Trump’s policies and expanding powers.

Crowds carried signs reading “Democracy, Not Monarchy” and “The Constitution Is Not Optional.”

They chanted in unison, “This is what democracy looks like.”

The demonstrations spanned over 2,500 locations and drew nearly seven million people.

They remained peaceful despite National Guard deployments in several states.

Trump, in a preview of a Fox News interview, seemed to mock the rallies: “A king! This is not an act. I’m not a king.”

Defending Democracy

But protesters saw something more serious — what they describe as a creeping slide toward authoritarianism.

“It gives me hope to be out here,” said Beth Zasloff, a writer in New York.

“We cannot count on the courts or Congress — we are fighting for democracy,” warned 68-year-old Massimo Mascoli.

Even overseas, solidarity marches lit up London, Rome, and Toronto.

Democratic leaders, including Bernie Sanders and Chuck Schumer, joined in.

They declared: “We’re not here because we hate America, we’re here because we love it.”

As chants echoed across continents, one message rang clear — in a democracy, power belongs to the people, not a king.
