A Pablo Picasso masterpiece has vanished without a trace — and Spanish police are scrambling to find it.
The painting, Still Life with Guitar, worth around €600,000 ($700,000), disappeared while being transported from Madrid to Granada.
It was meant for an exhibition organized by the CajaGranada foundation.
It was supposed to go on display last week alongside other privately owned works — but it never made it.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the mysterious disappearance but are keeping details under wraps.
Art Theft Mystery
“The case is under active investigation,” a police spokesperson told local media, declining to share more due to confidentiality rules.
Art thefts involving Picasso’s works are hardly rare.
With two of his paintings fetching over $140 million each in recent years, it’s no surprise his art is a favorite target for thieves.

One of the most infamous heists took place in 1976.
More than 100 of his works were stolen from a museum in Avignon, France. Fortunately, they were all recovered.
Born in Malaga in 1881, Picasso spent his life reinventing the rules of art.
Now, more than half a century after his death, his paintings still stir up passion — and, apparently, temptation.
The only question now: where’s the guitar?
