FBI Fires Agents Who Knelt At George Floyd Protest, Reports Say

FBI fires agents pictured kneeling at George Floyd protest, US media report.

The FBI has reportedly fired up to 20 agents — all because they were photographed kneeling at a racial justice protest in 2020.

Remember those scenes after George Floyd’s death, when people worldwide took a knee in solidarity?

It turns out some federal agents did too. Now, four years later, they’re out of a job.

CBS News says termination letters accused the agents of showing “a lack of judgment.”

But the FBI Agents Association isn’t buying it, calling the firings a violation of their rights.

“This dangerous new pattern of actions is weakening the Bureau,” the group warned.

Politics Or Discipline At The FBI?

Critics see the mass sacking as part of the Trump administration’s purge of what it calls “woke” policies in government.

Supporters counter that kneeling, especially at tense protests, was a strategy to de-escalate — not a political statement.

This isn’t happening in a vacuum.

High-level FBI officials have also been shown the door recently, and some are suing, alleging they were fired to appease Trump.

All of it raises a question: is this about discipline, politics, or rewriting history?

Taking a knee once symbolized dissent against police brutality. Now, for some federal agents, it’s become the reason they’re out of work.
