Donald Trump says his trip to the UN turned into a three-act drama — and he’s calling it “triple sabotage.”
In a fiery post on Truth Social, the president claimed an escalator jolted to a halt as he and First Lady Melania Trump stepped on.
His teleprompter went dark mid-speech, and the auditorium’s audio mysteriously failed.
“Not one, not two, but three very sinister events!” he wrote, vowing to demand a probe from UN Secretary-General António Guterres.
The UN has offered more mundane explanations.
Officials say Trump’s own videographer may have tripped the escalator’s safety mechanism.
The White House itself was operating the teleprompter.
Trump Slams UN Glitches
As for the sound? Delegates are meant to hear speeches via earpieces in six languages, a UN spokesperson noted.
Still, the president doubled down, citing a Times report that UN staff had joked about shutting off the escalators.
“All security tapes at the escalator should be saved,” he warned, adding the Secret Service is involved.

Trump’s UN ambassador, Mike Waltz, called the incidents “unacceptable.”
The White House press secretary said anyone who deliberately interfered should be “fired and investigated immediately.”
Sabotage or snafu? Either way, it’s the kind of spectacle only Trump could turn into an international cliffhanger.
