US To Review 55 Million Visas For Possible Rule Violations

US to review all 55 million visas to check if holders broke rules.

What if every move you made as a US visa holder was being tracked — not just when you applied, but long after you arrived?

That’s the reality now. The US State Department says more than 55 million visa holders are under “continuous vetting.”

Their records will be constantly reviewed for any slip-ups.

Officials say visas could be yanked for overstaying, criminal activity, threats to public safety — even “supporting a terrorist organisation.”

Social media isn’t off-limits either. Posts showing hostility toward American values, culture, or institutions could raise red flags.

“America’s benefits should not be given to those who despise the country.

What’s The Reason?

America’s benefits should not be given to those who promote anti-American ideologies,” said Matthew Tragesser, from US Citizenship and Immigration Services.

He added that the system is being designed to “root out anti-Americanism.”

This tough stance comes as President Donald Trump’s second administration doubles down on immigration.

From pausing work visas for truck drivers to banning nationals from 12 countries, the message is clear: entry into the US is more conditional than ever.

Recently, even some foreign students were arrested for protesting Israel’s war in Gaza, sparking outrage.

For critics, it raises a thorny question: in trying to protect its borders, is America also policing free speech and dissent?
