NYPD Officer Among Four Killed In NYC Office Building Shooting

Police officer among four dead in shooting at New York City office building.

What drives a man to pack an assault rifle, cross the country, and open fire in one of the busiest spots in Manhattan?

That’s what investigators are scrambling to uncover after 27-year-old Shane Tamura turned Park Avenue into a war zone.

Just before 6:30 PM, Tamura stormed a skyscraper housing the NFL and financial giants like Blackstone and KPMG.

Four people lost their lives — including NYPD officer Didarul Islam, a father of two with a third on the way.

The Bangladeshi immigrant died protecting others. “He made the ultimate sacrifice,” said Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch.

Where Did The Attack Take Place?

Tamura’s attack began in the lobby, then moved to the 33rd floor.

One woman was spared as she stepped off the elevator.

Others weren’t as lucky. Office workers barricaded doors with furniture as gunshots echoed.

The shooter, who had documented mental health struggles, later turned the gun on himself.

A note at the scene hinted at CTE — a brain disease linked to head trauma in football — possibly influencing his mental state.

Tamura, once a high school football player, may have been haunted by the sport he once loved.

And just like that, a building of ambition and business became a crime scene. In America, is anywhere truly safe anymore?
