Tensions between Iran and the US just kicked up a notch—and it’s not looking pretty.
Iran has now warned that if things escalate, every US military base in the region is in its crosshairs.
“All its bases are within our reach,” Iran’s Defence Minister Aziz Nasirzadeh said.
He added that if war breaks out, “the US will suffer more losses.”
But will it really come to that? Both sides say they want a deal.
Tehran and Washington have been in nuclear talks since April, trying to revive the 2015 agreement that Trump scrapped back in 2018.
Yet, after initially sounding hopeful, Trump’s tone has shifted.
“I’m less confident now than I would’ve been a couple of months ago,” he told Pod Force One, frustrated by Iran’s delays.
What Does Iran Really Want?
At the heart of the standoff is uranium enrichment.
Iran’s pushing for 60%, dangerously close to weapons-grade, while insisting its intentions are peaceful.

The US, meanwhile, says that’s a red line—and Israel’s watching closely too.
For now, Iran’s crafting a counter-offer to Washington’s latest draft, calling the US proposal vague and lacking solid sanctions relief.
Trump’s final word? He wants a deal “without warfare, without people dying.”
