Waltz Out As Trump’s Security Adviser, Nominated For UN Role

Trump ousts Waltz as national security adviser and nominates him for UN post.

What do you do when your national security adviser accidentally leaks military plans in a group chat?

If you’re Donald Trump, you “promote” him.

In a classic Trump move, Mike Waltz is out as national security adviser — and on deck to become the next U.S. ambassador to the United Nations.

What Happened?

The shake-up came after Waltz mistakenly added a journalist to a Signal chat where top officials were discussing sensitive plans about Yemen.

Trump called the blundered moment “an unfortunate situation”.

But he still praised Waltz: “From the battlefield to the White House, Mike has always put America first.”

Now, Secretary of State Marco Rubio will step in.

Temporarily doubling as the nation’s top diplomat and top security adviser. (Paging Henry Kissinger.)

Critics say the move is a soft firing dressed up as a fancy title.

“Let’s be real,” one unnamed official told the BBC, “this is Trump’s way of showing the door without slamming it.”

Waltz, ever loyal, said he’s “honored” to keep serving.

But with Senate confirmation looming and Signal still pinging, the question isn’t just who’s in charge.

It’s who’s still in the chat.
