Imagine getting a call on NFL Draft day from the Saints’ GM telling you you’re about to be picked—only to find out it’s a prank.
That’s what happened to quarterback Shedeur Sanders, and the NFL is not laughing.
The Atlanta Falcons have been hit with a $250,000 fine.
This came after 21-year-old Jax Ulbrich—yes, the son of Falcons defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich—grabbed Sanders’ number from an iPad at his parents’ house.
He prank-called him pretending to be New Orleans GM Mickey Loomis.
What Followed?
A fake promise of being drafted… and a punchline: “You’ll have to wait a little longer.”
Shedeur, son of NFL legend Deion Sanders, called the stunt “childish” but shrugged it off.
The league, however, didn’t.

Jeff Ulbrich got a personal $100K fine, even though the Falcons insist he had no clue what his son was up to.
What’s The Bigger Issue?
A breach of confidential draft info.
“We were proactive and accept the discipline,” the team said.
They pledged tighter data control—and community service from the Ulbrich family.
In the end, Sanders landed with the Browns at pick No. 144.
As for the prankster?
Maybe next time, skip the fake GM routine and stick to April Fool’s.
