In the early hours of Thursday, Russia launched one of the deadliest air attacks against Kyiv in months.
The assault killed at least nine people and injured over 70, including children and a pregnant woman.
Drones, missiles, and anti-aircraft fire lit up the night sky, as Ukrainian defenses scrambled to intercept the assault.
The destruction was widespread.
Buildings were reduced to rubble, cars set ablaze, and entire districts left in chaos.
Mayor Vitali Klitschko said the rescue operation is ongoing, with hopes of finding survivors under the wreckage.
Yet, amidst the devastation, Kyiv’s president Volodymyr Zelenskyy was clear: “These strikes must stop immediately.”

In the midst of it all, Donald Trump fired off a controversial critique.
He accused Zelenskyy of delaying peace talks by rejecting a proposed “territorial concession” deal.
Yet, Ukrainians, caught in the crossfire, were quick to respond on social media.
They called out what they saw as Trump’s dismissal of their suffering.
