On Thursday, former President Donald Trump had to make an unplanned switcheroo on the tarmac after his helicopter—aka Marine One when he’s onboard—hit a snag.
Or rather, a flat tire. Yes, even presidential choppers aren’t immune to everyday annoyances.
Fresh off Air Force One at Miami International Airport, Trump gave the press a classic fist pump.
He then hopped aboard the first helicopter set to whisk him to his Doral golf club.
What Happened?
But instead of liftoff, the aircraft rolled a bit… and then stopped. Cue the scramble.
Decked out in his signature red MAGA cap and suit, Trump casually strolled across the runway to a backup chopper, which took off just after 5:19 p.m.
No harm, no foul—he landed at Doral safely by 5:35 p.m., only slightly behind schedule.
He’s in town for a LIV Golf dinner where he’s expected to speak—and yes, he’s still hoping for that LIV-PGA merger.
Afterward, it’s off to Mar-a-Lago, then a weekend at his Jupiter club for a golf tournament and a police officers’ gala.
