Top FDA Vaccine Expert Forced To Resign, US Media Reports

Multiple media reports have revealed that a leading vaccine expert at the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has been forced to resign.

Peter Marks, who played a key role in the development and approval of COVID-19 vaccines, was given an ultimatum: resign or be fired.

In his resignation letter, Marks didn’t hold back.

Misinformation And Lies

He accused Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. of rejecting “truth and transparency” in favour of “misinformation and lies.”

His departure, effective from April 5, could have significant implications for public health.

The HHS fired back, telling the BBC that if Marks refused to support the agency’s push for “radical transparency,” he had no place at the FDA under Kennedy’s leadership.

The Resignation Comes At Critical Time

Marks’ exit comes amid growing concerns over public health, notably a measles outbreak in Texas.

In his letter, he warned of the dangers of undermining trust in science.

He pointed out to the state’s 400 cases as a stark reminder of what happens when vaccine confidence erodes.

A vocal vaccine skeptic, Kennedy recently unveiled plans to overhaul the HHS by slashing 10,000 jobs, including those at the FDA and CDC.
