The U.S. just unveiled its boldest tech investment yet—and it’s shaking up the global race for artificial intelligence supremacy.
President Donald Trump, alongside tech heavyweights from OpenAI, SoftBank, and Oracle, has announced “Stargate” venture to dominate the AI landscape.
The project promises to create 100,000 jobs and transform America’s AI infrastructure.
20 Massive Data Centers Are Already Under Construction
At the White House launch, Trump was joined by OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, Oracle Chairman Larry Ellison, and SoftBank’s Masayoshi Son.
The first of Stargate’s 20 massive data centers—each spanning half a million square feet—is already under construction in Texas.
These centers aim to support AI-powered innovations, including advanced tools to revolutionize healthcare.
Musk Disagrees
Shortly after the announcement, Elon Musk took to X to cast doubt despite being an advisor to Trump.
“They don’t actually have the money, SoftBank has well under $10B secured. I have that on good authority,” he said.
