The disappearance of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 still haunts the country despite disappearing 10 years ago.
Malaysia recently announced that it is resuming its search for the missing aircraft once again.
But this time it’s different.
The government is now using a new technology called Weak Signal Propagation Reporter (WSPR) transmissions and experts believe it can solve the mystery.
What is This Ghost Technology?
The underwater exploration firm Ocean Infinity will be using the so-called “ghost radio signals” to refine the search.
WSPR, or “whisper,” is a technology that sends low-power radio pulses across the globe.
These signals can be subtly disrupted by moving objects, like aircraft.
Aerospace engineer Richard Godfrey believes analyzing historical WSPR data could pinpoint the plane’s location within a 20-mile radius.
With this breakthrough approach, Ocean Infinity CEO Oliver Plunkett also expressed optimism.
“We’re eager to share updates soon. This search offers renewed hope to the families still waiting for answers,” he said
