The Turkish Air Force conducted a wave of airstrikes in northern Iraq and Syria in response to a deadly terrorist attack that killed five people.
Turkey said the attacks targeted the PKK in the Kurdistan Workers Party hideouts who were blamed for the tragic attack in Ankara, the Turkish capital.
A day earlier, the group opened fire at the Turkish aerospace and defense company TUSAS and two of the terrorists were neutralized.
Why Did Turkey Carry Out Airstrikes?
Turkey launched airstrikes against Kurdish militant targets in Syria and Iraq after the militants were blamed for a deadly attack on the Turkish national aerospace company headquarters.
According to reports, two gunmen, one man and one woman, opened fire after stopping their taxi at the gate’s entrance.
In response to the attack the Turkish airstrikes killed 59 terrorists including high value targets, the Turkish Interior Ministry said.
