At a recent rally in Detroit, former President Barack Obama delivered a lighthearted rap of Eminem’s 2002 hit “Lose Yourself,” after being introduced by the rapper himself.
Eminem, a Detroit native, appeared briefly to support Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris, as he urged people to vote in the upcoming elections.
Obama Rapped Several Lines in One Go
During his appearance, Obama joked about feeling nervous following Eminem and quipped that he expected Eminem to perform, adding, “Love me some Eminem.”
He then went on to rap several lines from the rap masters’ famous song.
“I gotta say, I have done a lot of rallies, so I don’t usually get nervous, but I was feeling some kind of way following Eminem,” he said while standing beside Eminem.
Eminem, 52, also spoke briefly but passionately about the significance of Detroit and Michigan in his life and highlighted the importance of using one’s voice in the election.
