An Indian flight heading towards New York was diverted to the Indian capital, New Delhi, due to a bomb threat, Hindustan Times reported.
The Air India flight carrying 239 passengers made an emergency landing at Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport after receiving bomb threats mid-air.
All Passengers & Crew Are Safe
The Indian government agency reported that all the passengers including 19 crewmembers were evacuated and safe.
The plane was parked on an isolation runway, and security agencies, including a bomb squad, conducted thorough checks of the aircraft.
A senior police official confirmed that the plane was being checked for hidden explosives if they are planted in the airplane.

Major Indian news outlets have not yet received details of who was responsible for the threat and even if it was a real one.
