France Ask Osama Bin Laden’s Son To Leave Country Over Terrorism

The French government has asked the son of a slain terrorist leader to leave the country for advocating terrorism on social media.

The son of Osama Bin Laden, Al-Qaida’s former leader, Omar bin Laden has been banned by France from returning to the country for the second time.

Omar’s residency papers were rejected by France back in 2023 when the authorities barred him from returning for two years.

What Did Omar Do?

The French authorities said Omar advocated for terrorism on social media without shedding light on the issue further.

Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau said the decision was taken considering the national security interests of France and the top court.

“The courts have confirmed the legality of this decision taken in the interests of national security,” Le Monde reported quoting the minister.

The minister specifically mentioned that Omar will never be allowed to France for “any reason whatsoever.”
