Lawmakers from different political parties turned the Turkish parliament upside down as they slapped and kicked each other.
Video published by the BBC showed Workers’ Party of Turkey member MP Ahmet Sikgivign giving a speech when a member of the ruling party attempted to slap him.
Parliament staff was later seen cleaning blood stains from the floor when the fight was over.

While reporting on what caused the fight, the BBC reported that the opposition and the ruling party had a heated debate over the status of a jailed opposition politician.
The parliament turned into chaos Alpay Ozalan, an official from the President’s ruling AK party slapped Ahmet Sik when the latter was giving a speech.
As soon as Ozalan slapped from behind, members of the opposition party stood up to defend their colleague and fought with ruling party members.
The ruling AK party has been accused of using authoritarian tactics to silence dissent.
