One of the most powerful men in the world, Muhammad Bin Salman (MBS), the crown prince of Saudi Arabia, has said that he is afraid he might be assassinated.
According to a POLITICO article, Saudi Arabia’s de facto ruler told the members of the US Congress that his life was under threat for being on board with the US to recognize the State of Israel.
MBS To Establish Ties Despite Threats
Several high ranking US officials told POLITICO’s Nahal Toosi that despite being threatened over his peaceful efforts, MBS is ready to establish diplomatic relations with Israel.
The crown prince thinks establishing relations with Israel will benefit his country in the long run, Mr. Toosi wrote.
MBS Wants Security Guarantees
In return for establishing relations with Israel, MBS wants much more in return.
First and foremost, a NATO-like security pact which will solidify his position against Iran.
Among other things, investment in the civil nuclear program and a huge investment in the tech sector.
