Kamala Harris raises $200 Million in Donations in Just One Week

The nominated democratic presidential candidate and vice President Kamala Harris has raised $200 million in donations in just one week, the BBC reported.

The first zoom call raised $1 million in just three hours when Harris arranged a zoom call with several black activists.

It’s been just a week since Harris had entered the White House officially, but the energy is already taking off, something that Joe Biden didn’t have.

Donors Are Ordinary Democrats

The interesting things about the latest virtual fundraising zoom calls is the fact that donors are ordinary democrats.

“Unlike big donors who helped persuade Mr. Biden to step aside and end his run just days ago, there are hundreds of thousands of ordinary Democrats now”, the BBC explained.

Why is Harris Running For White House?

Kamala Harris, the current VP in the Biden Administration, was endorsed by almost no opposition when the President stepped down.

Mr. Biden stepped down after facing intense pressure from his own party members and donors to do so.
