OK To Nuke Japan in WW2, Japan Concerns US Lawmaker Remarks

The Japanese government has expressed concerns about US senators holding a positive view of nuclear bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Japan said that the remarks were “extremely regrettable” and were not consistent with International law.

Japan’s statement emerged on the scene after Republican Lindsey Graham senator said in a television program that dropping two nuclear weapons on Japan was a “was the right decision.”

Japan & Gaza

Mr. Graham expressed these remarks to urge the defense secretary to do more in order to supply weapons to fight terrorists in Gaza.

He urged the Biden administration to do whatever it can to defeat Hamas, even if it means dropping two nukes.

Japanese Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshimasa Hayashi said in response to the remarks that the two bombs “took many precious lives, caused (a number of) people to suffer unspeakable hardships.”

Mr. Graham’s remarks, comes a week after the US President Joe Biden called Japan a “xenophobic” nation for anti-immigrant policies.
