Video footage released by the California Police Department shows several police officers shooting a kidnapped girl they were attempting to rescue.
The incident took place in 2022 and has since then become a hot issue for law enforcement officials.
The police have been investigating the issue for two years and hope that the video gives enough evidence against the culprits.
What Happened?
On 27 September 2022, deputies were searching for Savannah Graziano, who they thought was kidnapped by her father after he shot and killed her mother.
The police chased down the suspect’s car on a freeway in Hesperia, 80 miles east of Los Angeles.
The footage allegedly shows deputies opening fire on the kidnapped teen, but Sheriff’s officials said it was not clear who shot Savannah.
The interesting thing to note was that Savannah was shot despite following the police’s instructions to move toward them.
