Woman Gathers Group of Fifty To Decide €25 Million Fortune Giveaway

An Austrian woman has gathered a group of fifty individuals to decide how she should distribute her €25 Million fortune.

Marlene Engelhorn, a 31-year-old woman who lives in Vienna, inherited a huge sum of €25 Million from her grandmother “without having done anything for it”.

Ms. Engelhorn has not yet finalized her group, but she has already begun sending letters to 10,000 random Austrian citizens to participate in the ”Good Council for Redistribution’ initiative.

Group Will Include People of Every Segment

The BBC report mentioned that people who wanted to register for the initiative “can register online or by phone”.

Out of the initial sample of 10,000 Austrians, 50 people will be chosen, all aged over 16.

Christoph Hofinger, Managing Director of the Foresight Institute, said the distribution group would include people from “from all age groups, federal states, social classes, and backgrounds.”

Discussion sessions will be arranged to pour in different ideas in the Austrian city of Salzburg, if that fails, Ms. Engelhorn will get her money back without any outcome.
