The US is secretly arming Taiwan to confront China despite US support to abide by the One China policy.
A month ago, the Biden administration approved $80 million for Taiwan to purchase US military hardware.
Something was interesting about the latest package as it was not a loan.
Foreign Military Financing
The US approved the package under Foreign Military Financing, which is strictly reserved for sovereign states, not unrecognized dominions.

China To Take Taiwan By Force
China, for years, has contested US moves to send military aid to Taiwan.
China has also not ruled out an option of force to retake the island.
“China is trying to change the status quo across the region,” William Chung, a researcher at the Institute for National Defense and Security Research, said.
