Gunman Kills Ex-Wife And Five Others In Mississippi

A gunman reportedly kills his former wife and five others in the US state of Mississippi. People were killed at different locations including a store and two homes. The community is home to about 300 people in Arkabutla, a small rural town in the state of Mississippi.

Suspect Arrested

The 52-year-old Richard Dale Crum was arrested and police have charged him with first-degree murder. The gunman first entered a petrol station and fatally shot one person at around 11:00 local time. The suspect went on to a nearby home and shot his ex-wife, killing her on the spot. He then approached another home and killed his stepfather and a woman. He shot four more people including two construction workers on a job.

Suspect Was Armed With 3 Guns

The mass-shooting incident was “shocking” as the locality has no significant past criminal record, Sheriff Lance said. So far, the Police have not been able to come up with much as the investigation is still underway.  According to some witnesses, the suspect was alone and was armed with three guns.
