A deadly Russian drone attack on a shopping centre in Ukraine’s Kryvyi Rih has left at least 16 people dead and 130 injured.
Rescuers are working through the night to find survivors.
Why was the scene so dangerous? Ukrainian officials say the mall was struck twice.
The second drone hit while emergency workers were responding to the first strike.
Nine people are still reportedly missing, raising fears the death toll could climb.
Twenty-three children were among those injured, while 29 victims were previously reported to be in serious condition.
Dramatic footage verified by the BBC showed a second drone striking the already burning shopping centre.
Deadly Strikes Shake Ukraine
Kryvyi Rih Mayor Oleksandr Vilkul said the drones flew at “extremely low altitudes” and described the attack as particularly brutal.
President Volodymyr Zelensky called it a “cynical and despicable” strike.
Rescue teams from several Ukrainian regions joined the search, while psychologists were brought in to support survivors.

The attack came amid a wider wave of Russian strikes across Ukraine, including attacks in Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv and Kharkiv.
Ukraine has also intensified strikes deep inside Russia, targeting oil and military facilities.
Four years into the war, the battlefield is stretching ever farther from the front lines and civilians continue to pay the heaviest price.
