Humanoid Robot Sets Guinness Record With 106km Walk

Humanoid robot sets Guinness record with 106km walk.

What’s tougher than walking from Suzhou to Shanghai?

Apparently, a humanoid robot doing it nonstop — and setting a Guinness World Record in the process.

China’s Agibot A2 just completed an astonishing 106km trek without shutting down.

It proves it’s not just another flashy prototype but a seriously capable machine.

The journey began late on Nov 10 in Suzhou and ended in the early hours of Nov 13 on Shanghai’s iconic Bund.

Powered by Agibot’s hot-swap battery system, the robot stayed active the whole way, officially logging 106.3km.

“Walking from Suzhou to Shanghai is a tough task even for many humans.

But the robot achieved it,” said Wang Chuang, Agibot’s senior vice-president.

According to him, the feat shows just how refined the A2’s hardware, balance algorithms and endurance have become.

It is a promising sign for large-scale commercial use.

Robot Endurance Feat

And this wasn’t a simple stroll. The A2 navigated traffic lights, narrow passages and crowded sidewalks.

It also crossed all kinds of terrain: asphalt, tiles, bridges, ramps and even tactile paving.

With dual GPS, LiDAR and infrared depth sensors, it kept its cool day and night while following traffic rules better than some commuters.

When it finally reached Shanghai, the robot joked to reporters that the trip was an “unforgettable experience” — and that it “might need new shoes.”

Not bad for a machine. And for anyone keeping score, another Chinese robot ran a half-marathon earlier this year.
