Trump Says US To Boycott G20 Summit In South Africa

US to boycott G20 in South Africa, Trump says.

Donald Trump has sparked global controversy — again.

This time, he’s pulled the US out of the upcoming G20 summit in South Africa, claiming white South Africans are being “killed and slaughtered.”

But is there any truth to that? Experts say no.

“It’s a total disgrace,” Trump wrote on Truth Social, accusing South Africa of persecuting its white minority and illegally seizing farms.

Yet, South Africa’s government swiftly fired back, calling his remarks “ahistorical” and “unsupported by fact.”

No major political party in South Africa — not even those representing Afrikaners — believes a “white genocide” is happening.

“These claims are clearly imagined,” ruled a South African court earlier this year.

G20 Spotlight On Trump

Since returning to office in January, Trump has made South Africa a talking point, even confronting President Cyril Ramaphosa in May.

He’s also offered Afrikaners refugee status — while cutting overall refugee admissions to record lows.

Critics see this as a political move rather than a humanitarian one.

Every year, a different nation hosts the G20 — a forum that represents 85% of global wealth.

South Africa’s turn was meant to spotlight African leadership. Instead, it’s now caught in Trump’s storm.

Maybe the real question isn’t who’s attending the G20 — but who’s turning global cooperation into a campaign slogan.
