Former US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was reportedly hospitalized after a head injury in Luxembourg.
Ms. Pelosi was on a bipartisan congressional delegation to the European country when she injured her head, a Pelosi spokesperson, Ian Krager, said in a statement.
The spokesperson didn’t reveal what caused her head injury and how badly she was injured.
Pelosi Receiving Treatment
Mr. Krager confirmed to the press that Pelosi is “currently receiving excellent treatment from doctors and medical professionals”
The longtime California congresswoman remains a towering figure in American politics, having served as House Speaker twice—from 2007 to 2011 and again from 2019 to 2023.
While stepping down as Speaker last year, Pelosi still holds her House seat and recently secured another two-year term.
Pelosi Will Miss Trip Events
Pelosi’s injury comes amid a bipartisan trip with 17 other House members, where they were set to honor veterans and their families.
Unfortunately, she’ll miss the remaining events.
