Woman Who Murdered Her Boyfriend Zipped in Suitcase Found Guilty

A woman who zipped her own boyfriend in a suitcase and murdered was found guilty of second degree murder.

Sarah Boone was found guilty of second-degree murder for the 2020 death of her boyfriend, Jorge Torres, after he was left zipped inside a suitcase at their home in Winter Park, Florida.

Boone Said She Forgot Boyfriend in Suitcase

Boone, who pleaded not guilty, claimed that she and Torres had been drinking and playing hide-and-seek when Torres willingly got into the suitcase.

She alleged she thought he could get out on his own and fell asleep, only realizing he was trapped the next morning, finding him unresponsive.

Detectives Found Evidence of Intentional Murder

However, detectives found damning evidence on Boone’s cellphone.

In the videos Torres was heard pleading for help, saying he couldn’t breathe and calling Boone’s name. In the footage, Boone responded that Torres deserved that because he cheated and choked her.

Police also found marks of trauma on Torres’ head and back after autopsy.
