Elon Musk is on track to become the world’s first trillionaire by 2027, according to a report from Informa Connect Academy.
Musk’s wealth, which has been growing at an average annual rate of 110%, is primarily fueled by his roles as CEO of Tesla, SpaceX, and social media platform X (formerly Twitter).
Currently valued at $251 billion, Musk holds the title of the world’s richest person as per Bloomberg’s Billionaires Index.
Others on The List
Other contenders for trillionaire status include Indian business tycoon Gautam Adani, Nvidia’s CEO Jensen Huang, and Indonesian energy mogul Prajogo Pangestu.
The report mentions that all of them could reach trillionaire status by 2028 if their wealth continues to grow at current rates.
Bernard Arnault, CEO of LVMH, and Meta’s Mark Zuckerberg are projected to potentially reach trillionaire status by 2030.
Musk’s rise to become the world’s first trillionaire has been marked with controversies for his open support for the right-right and Donald Trump in the US.
