Scores of foreign and local journalists have been covering from inside Russian territory recently occupied by Ukrainian troops.
Now Russia has started an inquiry to investigate journalists including a CNN reporter for entering the country illegally.
Russia also summoned US top diplomat and protested the presence of contractors and journalists on its soil.
Wanted List
The Russian Federal Service Bureau said the names of the three journalists have been put into their most wanted list.
The FSB identified the CNN reporter as Nick Paton Walsh but the reporter is not inside Russia at the moment.
As per the Russian law, an individual will have to face four years in prison and pay a penalty for crossing the border but that is far from happening at the moment.
According to the New York Times report, the Russian government wants to silence those who have been covering Russia’s failure to respond to the Ukrainian offensive in Kursk.
