Thousands have come out on the streets of the United Kingdom against far-right riots that paralyzed much of the country for weeks.
The country has faced an intense wave of anti-immigrant and anti-muslim wave of far-right riots for days causing damage of mosques, businesses and even asylum centers.
Protests Were Peaceful
Unlike riots that caused panic in the UK, the protests were peaceful and the law and order largely remained in place, the BBC said.
The protesters were seen hugging muslims and immigrants as they walked on the streets to show solidarity with them.
Some of them made human shields around mosques and churches to protect them from being desecrated by far-right rioters.
A Moral Stand
Protesters expressed regret over anti-immigrant riots that erupted and were led by prominent British activists.
They also told reporters on the ground that it was their moral responsibility to stand with people from other ethnic, religious and national backgrounds.
