The Republican nominee Donald Trump said that Chinese President Xi Jinping sent him a “beautiful note” after an assassination attempt last week.
Trump, while still wearing an ear bandage to the left, said he gets along very well with the Chinese premier and called him a “very great guy”.
What Did Xi Write?
At a rally in Michigan on Saturday, Trump mentioned the note from Xi, saying, “He wrote me a beautiful note the other day when he heard about what happened.”
Mr. Trump didn’t reveal that he was referring to and was it really about the recent shooting.
The former President also praised the Chinese leader who controls China “1.4 billion people with an iron fist”
Praise For Dictators
This is not the first time Trump has praised a leader of an undemocratic country.
In 2022, Donald Trump praised Russian President Putin for being smart in its strategy of invading Ukraine.
In the recent speech, Trump hailed exchanging what he called “love letters” with the Korean leader Kim Jong-un.
