A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the discovery of human remains in suitcases near the Clifton Suspension Bridge in Bristol.
The 34-year-old was arrested by armed officers from Avon and Somerset Police at Bristol’s Temple Meads Station early on Saturday, the BBC reported.
The police said that the remains belonged to two men but how they got in the suitcase remains uncleared.
Suspect Sent To London
Media reports suggest that the police are not searching for anyone else at this time, and the suspect arrested is being transported to London for questioning.
The story started when Avon and Somerset Police received a report of a man acting suspiciously with a suitcase on the Clifton Suspension Bridge.
Officers arrived within 10 minutes, but the man had already left, abandoning the cases.
Another suitcase was found nearby. A 36-year-old man arrested previously in connection with the crime has been released without charge.
