Scientists are certainly convinced that July is the hottest month in the last 120,000 years, thanks to ever increasing temperatures. The UN chief ‘s shocking statement that the world is literally boiling also presents a bleak picture of the future ahead if things keep rolling out of control.
Era Of Boiling
United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said the era of global warming was over and the world has entered an “era of global boiling”. The devastating wildfires in Canada, Greece, Italy rang the alarm for world leaders to react or face the threat which respects no boundaries. “The era of global warming has ended; the era of global boiling has arrived,” the UN chief said, urging the world leaders to take immediate action.
Climate Change is Here
Dr Karsten Haustein from the University of Leipzig said the temperatures recorded in July were 1.3C-1.7C above the average temperatures. No such increase in the temperatures have been recorded ever, not at least after the industrial revolution. The UN chief hinted optimism that humans can still control the rising temperatures but without will, they wouldn’t.
