Online images showed his fans placing flowers and leaving messages at roadside memorials located in South Korea and various other nations such as the United States, Chile, Indonesia, and the Philippines. In South Korea, after the reports of Moonbin’s demise emerged, the phrase “all idols” started trending on Twitter. On Thursday morning, Moonbin’s passing became the most frequently searched topic on China’s analogous social media site Weibo.
