Argentina has confirmed the first monkeypox virus death in the country. The death was reported from Argentina’s big, cosmopolitan capital city of Buenos Aires. The person who died was in critical condition since September but died just now.
Septic Shock
The hospitalized man died of septic shock, according to the National Epidemiological Bulletin (BEN). Septic shock is a potentially fatal illness that develops after infection when the patient’s blood pressure drops to extremely low levels. Infections can be brought on by any form of bacteria.
Confirmed Cases In Argentina
According to Argentina’s Ministry of Health, More than 800 cases of the monkeypox virus had been documented in Argentina as of November 22, out of which 594 cases were reported from the capital. This is the first monkeypox death in the country.
